Future may have led the charge with Metro Boomin and Kendrick Lamar to launch a full scale attack against Drake, but now it's clear he's locked in on another major target.

In the early hours of Wednesday morning, Future Hendrix hopped on X, formerly known as Twitter, to fire some warning shots as he revealed the plans for his upcoming mixtape. His upcoming project is set to arrive on May 10, which is the same day Gunna aims to release his long-awaited album One of Wun.

"F**k yo album S**t ain’t slappin like my MIXTAPE," he wrote. "MIXTAPE PLUTO."

Hours after Future made his late-night announcement, Gunna entered the chat and fired back. He didn't even have to name names because fans already know who he was speaking to.

"Turn this s**t bac up Notch……!" he wrote in his post. "F*c What These boys talkin bout 🗣️"

Future and Gunna teamed up on several songs in the past including their previous smash hit "Pushin P." However, the signs of their looming issues began to surface even before Pluto and Young Metro released their explosive WE DON'T TRUST YOU album. Following Gunna's release from jail in 2022, the Atlanta native faced plenty of backlash for making a plea deal in the YSL RICO case. Wunna managed to overcome all the hate and released new music, which garnered support from several major artists including Future.

Back in March, Gunna released his single "Prada Dem" featuring Offset. Future supported the release by posting a link to the song on his X account. However, the post was quickly removed, which raised eyebrows among fans. Later that day, Pluto shared a snippet of his and Metro's song "Type Sh*t" with Travis Scott that contains the lyrics, "I don't hang with rats, that's some new type s**t/Get a n***a whacked on new type s**t." Fans instantly believed Future was talking about Gunna.

Looks like we may get a showdown between Future and Gunna later this week. Both of their projects drop May 10.
