A Nebraska couple recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary … by taking photos in their original wedding clothes. Lucille and Marvin Stone of Kearney, Nebraska, got married on August 21st, 1960, and to celebrate their 60th, Lucille contacted photographer Katie Autry with the idea of a wedding photo shoot in the original gown she wore – and made by hand, by the way – and her husband, Marvin, in the suit he wore all those years ago. The photos wound up getting thousands of shares onFacebook. The secret to their lasting marriage? According to the Stones, just “work hard and be kind to one another.” (GMA)
