Beyonce made history at the 63rd annual Grammy Awards on Sunday night. She officially became the most winning singer in Grammy history with 28-lifetime wins, picking up a total of four awards over the course of the evening.
It was a Grammy Awardsunlike any other, with nominees sitting masked in an open-air tent as the audience. It was also a big night for Megan Thee Stallion, who won a trio of trophies -- Best New Artist, Best Rap Artist, and Best Rap Performance. Even in the category she lost --Record of the Year-- the winner,Billie Eilish, spent the first half of her speech gushing over how Meg really deserved to win. She also performed "Savage" and "WAP," with Cardi B joining for the latter performance.
Other highlights:
- Lil Baby featuring Killer Mike with an appearance from Tamika Mallory sent a message toJoe Biden, with their performance of "The Bigger Picture," using BLM imagery, police brutality and protests
- Sunday night’s first-time Grammy winners included Nas,Burna Boy, Megan Thee Stallion, and Blue Ivy, who at nine-years-old is officially the second youngest Grammy winner in history.
- It was also the first time that we’ve ever seen Anderson Paak and Bruno Mars come together as Silk Sonic to perform "Leave the Door Open." They later returned to perform a tribute to Little Richard. The medley included “Long Tall Sally” and “Good Golly, Miss Molly”
- Roddy Ricch and DaBabyperformed “Rockstar” with accompanied by a scantily clad violinist and older white women dancing dressed in judges robes.
- DaBaby joined Dua Lipa for her performing of “Levitating” into “Don’t Start Now”
- Roddy Ricch performed "Heartless" and "The Box."
