- People are justifiably upset, but they should focus that anger and not take it out on local businesses.
Bodycam footage shows that during a struggle with another officer, Daunte Wright was shot by a female officer who yelled "Taser." Gannon said today (Monday), "It is my belief that the officer had the intention to deploy their taser but instead shot Mr. Wright with a single bullet."
Meanwhile, Major League Baseball's Minnesota Twins, the NHL's Minnesota Wild and the NBA's Minnesota Timberwolves have all canceled home games both "out of respect for the tragic events" and for safety reasons. (USA Today, ESPN)
