COVID VACCINES: Evidence of Heart Issue in Young Men

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said Thursday that there has been a higher-than-usual number of cases of heart inflammation following COVID-19 vaccines for young men.

Even with this news, the vaccine side effects are less deadly that COVID.

The CDC said in 220 cases, more than 80 percent got better on their own.

Even with this news, health officials still overwhelmingly recommend all people age 12 and older get vaccinated.

Dr. Tom Shimabukuro, deputy director of the CDC's Immunization Safely Office, said that there has been 226 cases of myocarditis following vaccinations in people younger than 30.

With the vast majority of cases, the patients were sent home following a hospital visit. Thought the number of patients sent to the hospital with the condition was not clear, 15 remained hospitalized, with three were in intensive care, but two of those had other health problems. (NBC News)
