FLU SEASON: Experts Concerned About a "Twindemic"

The CDC is concerned that relaxed masking and social distancing mandates could leave the population more susceptible to catching and spreading the flu this year, and are urging everyone to get the flu shot.

Flu shots are already available at CVS and Walgreens.

There have not been any reported cases of the flu yet.

Masks, social distancing, and the flu shot last year were responsible for such a low number of cases.

Last year's flu season was virtually non-existent with fewer than 2000 cases reported, but experts are worried the flu could come roaring back this fall and, combined with the delta variant of the coronavirus, could create a "twindemic."
