Rihanna is raking in royalties after singing “Bitch Better Have My Money” to millions watching the big game around the globe.
Apple Music reports a whopping 331% spike in RiRi’s streaming numbers on the day after the Super Bowl. This has led to an estimated $350,000 in music royalty payouts for songs like “We Found Love,” “Umbrella,” “Diamonds,” “Only Girl (In the World)” and “Bitch Better Have My Money.”
This wasn’t just the big game effect. It’s noted that this bump was greater than the spike of all of last year’s Super Bowl halftime performers, including Dr. Dre, Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar, 50 Cent and Mary J. Blige.
