We are vacation-deprived in this country, which may be why when we actually go on a vacation, our expectations are pretty high. A survey found that just 45% of respondents said their last vacation lived up to the hype. Social media is partly to blame, with 72% saying it contributed to their unrealistic expectations. But 67% took the blame – saying it was their own bad planning that led to a less-than-desirable experience.
