We’re entering proposal season, so here’s something to consider if you’re planning to pop the question. A new survey finds that only 39% of engaged or married Americans are truly happy with their proposal. When those unhappy with their proposals were asked what they would change, 10% said their ring, 35% said they’d change the location of the proposal, and 18% said they would change how the proposer actually delivered the ring. And when it comes to the cost of the ring, the “three months’ salary” rule is officially outdated. Over half of the respondents did not follow the three-month rule when they bought their ring.
