UPDATE (11:30 a.m. ET): Officials have confirmed at least 119 people are dead.

Texas officials say at least 110 people are dead from last weekend's catastrophic flooding and warn that the death toll will continue to rise as there are still 160 people missing.

Rescue crews are still searching for possible survivors but hope is fading. Governor Greg Abbott said, "We will not stop until every missing person is accounted for." Kerr County was the hardest hit by the devastation with 87 deaths, including 30 children -- mostly campers attending Camp Mystic.

But while the rescue and recovery mission continues, and families grieve, county and state officials are being pressed to explain why there wasn't a more sufficient warning system in place. Meanwhile, President Donald Trump announced he will visit the flood-ravaged area on Friday. (NBC News)
