Beyonce's Netflix Special Nabs 6 Emmy Nods: See The Full List

BeyoncƩ might add some more prestige to her historic 2018 Coachella performance as the pop titan's Netflix concert doc, Homecoming: A Film by BeyoncƩ, which chronicled the creation of the shows, received six 2019 Emmy nominations.

As per a live announcement from The Good Place actress D'Arcy Carden and The Masked Singer judge Ken Jeong from Wolf Theatre at the Television Academyā€™s Saban Media Center on Tuesday (July 16), the concert doc is up for Outstanding Variety Special (Pre-Recorded), Outstanding Music Direction, Outstanding Directing, Outstanding Writing, Outstanding Production Design, and Outstanding Costumes For Variety. Homecoming debuted in April and arrived with a live album to pair with the release. The set included two bonus tracks: a cover of Maze's song "Before I Let Go" and "I Been On."

Among another musical-charged nominees include Lifetime's docuseries, Surviving R. Kelly, for Outstanding Informational Series or Special and HBO's Leaving Neverland for Outstanding Directing for a Documentary/Nonfiction Program; Outstanding Documentary or Nonfiction Special; Outstanding Picture Editing for a Nonfiction Program; Outstanding Sound Editing for a Nonfiction Program; and Outstanding Sound Mixing for a Nonfiction Program.

Meanwhile, on the series side of things, HBO led the pack in front of competitor networks with a whopping 137 nomination, mostly due to Game of Thrones. The 71st Primetime Emmy Awards will air September 22 at 8:00 PM ET at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. Click here see the full list of nominees!
