(Washington, DC) -- The White House says President Biden spoke to Florida Governor Ron DeSantis Tuesday night to discuss steps the government is taking to help the state prepare for Hurricane Ian.
Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre made the announcement in a tweet as the Category Three hurricane is expected to make landfall Wednesday. Some areas are bracing for ten to 12 feet of storm surge and massive amounts of rain.
More than two-and-a-half million people are under evacuation orders.
