Dwyane Wade says he had a cancerous tumor removed from his kidney. The former Miami Heat guard revealed on his podcast that doctors removed nearly half of his right kidney in December 2023.
Wade said he had been putting off a physical, but saw a doctor due to health concerns, including stomach and urinary issues.
He explained that the area of concern couldn't be biopsied so he had surgery to remove the tumor, which was found to be cancerous. Wade, who is married to Gabrielle Union, said he saw everyone show up and be there for him during that time.
