Rihanna Celebrates 20 Years of Music

Rihanna burst on to the scene 20 years ago with “Music of the Sun” on August 29, 2005. 20 years later, the music icon is celebrating two decades of achievements across music, business, and even charity work with a heartfelt message thanking all the people who helped her rise high.

“20 years ago, i left my country, my culture, my food, and family to embark on a journey that started with the release of my very first body of music!” Riri shared on social media, along with a video.

“So many of you were a part of my life and career since the very beginning, and some of you have joined the adventure along the way. I’m forever grateful to all of you.” She thanked her fans, her family, and everyone “who said yes to me and gave me a chance,” adding “20 years’ worth of thanks to you.”
