Mary J. Blige has signed a new three-picture deal with Lifetime to produce original films inspired by her music. The first project, "Mary J. Blige Presents Be Happy," directed by Gabourey Sidibe, follows a woman named Val as she navigates the challenges of an empty nest and rekindles her passion for life.
The film features a cast including Tisha Campbell, Mekhi Phifer, and Russell Hornsby.
Blige serves as an executive producer for the film, continuing her involvement in bringing her music-inspired stories to the screen.
