Celebs are taking over Miami for the 2018 BET Hip Hop Awards

It seems like the closer we get to the 2018 BET Hip Hop Awards, the show line up gets better and better. The show is being hosted by comedian DeRay Davis at The Fillmore Miami Beach at Jackie Gleason Theater on October 6th.

Veterans like T.I., Yo Gotti and Gucci mane will be hitting the stage in adition to some "newcomers" like, Lil Pump, Ball Greezy and Jacksonville's very own, Lil Duval.

Cardi B, the first female to have three Hot 100 number one singles, is slated to do a special performance from LIV Nightclub at Fontainebleau in Miami. In addition to all of her number one singles, the artist is nominated for 10 awards this year including "Best Hip-Hop Video," "Album of the Year" and "MVP of the Year"

She follows right behind Drake having 11 nominations. Childish Gambino snagged 6 nominations, while Travis Scott and Kendrick Lamar both tied at 5 nominations each.

But most importantly, Lil Wayne is being honored with the "I Am Hip Hop" award, which was awarded to Luther "Uncle Luke" Campbell in 2017.

This is the second year the show is being held in Miami, and the second year that I will be attending the show. THAT'S RIGHT! We're giving you the inside scoop before it hit's your TV screen! The show airs on BET Tuesday, October 16th at 8pm.
