After being given his own official weekend in Philadelphia, Meek Mill will be given the state key for Connecticut for all of his work on criminal justice reform.
In addition to being awarded the key, March 19, 2019 will also be announced as "Meek Mill Day" as a state level proclamation in Nutmeg State.
Connecticut recently passed a bill restoring voting privileges to convicted felons that are currently on parole.
Since his release from prison, Meek Mill has been actively voicing a need for change in the criminal justice system. He has gone from state-to-state, network-to-network, speaking out and motivating people to get out and speak for change. In January he launched his REFORM Alliance with Jay-Z and many other notable names.
Congratulations, Meek! Continue on using life lessons to help make a change for the future.
