Eating for a Flat Stomach Made Fast and Easy!

Sure, you want to have a healthy snack, if you forgot to pack cut-up veggies and  pack your healthy snacks you set yourself up for failure. The vending machine,  usually doesn’t have good choices but it’s right there. Unless you have to run into a SmartBox.  If you find yourself unprepared more often than you’d like, then keep reading.

Believe it or not, you can make healthy fast-food choices. How? By following some basic food ground rules and planning ahead.

Keep the ground rules of good nutrition in mind:

•Eat a variety of foods in moderate amounts.

•Include non-starchy vegetables at each meal.

•Replace sugary snacks and sweets with a cup of fruit.

•Limit the “processed foods you eat”.

•Keep salt to a minimum.

•Stick to moderate portion sizes.

•Follow the guidelines you've worked out with your dietitian, doctor or nutrition coach.

Having your healthy snacks right there, doesn’t happen by mistake. It takes planning, here’s what I do to keep my nutrition game on point each week.

Friday, I take about 30 minutes and write a my menu for the upcoming week.  I eat a low carb meal plan, I have a family history of diabetes and obesity.  Breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks.  Saturday I clear 30 minutes to mount my expedition to the supermarket. Sunday I recommend

you clear your schedule for just one short hour to prep these foods—and eat healthy all week long.

I, like most of you have a very busy schedule…. and this planning saves hours of precious time… to use for being with loved ones or doing something that will keep me healthy.

Here is a sample Menu for me would be:

Breakfast:

Cabbage/ Kale Salad  with hard boiled egg

Snack:

Peanut butter and celery

Lunch:

Cabbage/ Kale Salad  with chicken

Snack:

Assorted nuts, celery

Dinner:

Kale cauliflower and salmon

I use plenty of coconut oil and olive oil to avoid hunger and to increase fat burning.

Before changing your food strategy I suggest you have a fitness and nutrition consultation.
