Weston, FL - A construction worker was critically injured Monday morning after being shocked by an underground electrical line while operating machinery at a construction site in Weston.
According to Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue (BSFR), first responders were dispatched to the area of 2300 Glades Circle around 9:05 a.m. after reports that the equipment being operated by a private contractor had inadvertently come into contact with an underground electrical utility line.
The worker, an adult male, suffered severe injuries from the electrocution and was airlifted to Broward Health Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale for treatment.
Authorities have not yet released the man’s identity, and the incident remains under investigation.
