Florida Republicans Lead In 2025 Governor And Senate Polls

FLORIDA - A new statewide survey from the University of North Florida’s Public Opinion Research Lab shows Republican candidates holding notable leads in Florida’s upcoming 2026 elections.

The poll, conducted among likely voters in October 2025, tested hypothetical matchups for key statewide races, including governor, U.S. Senate, and attorney general.

In the governor’s race, Casey DeSantis leads Democrat David Jolly by 13 points and Jerry Demings by 11 points.

Congressman Byron Donalds also holds double-digit advantages, leading Jolly by 11 points and Demings by 12.

According to the data, about one in five voters remain undecided, suggesting potential shifts before election season.

For the U.S. Senate race, Republican incumbent Ashley Moody leads Democrat Jennifer Jenkins by 11 points.

In the attorney general race, incumbent James Uthmeier maintains a 9-point advantage over Democrat Jose Javier Rodriguez.

When asked about the most important issues facing Florida, voters cited housing costs as their top concern, followed by property insurance, property taxes, and the economy.

The poll also measured public trust in institutions, finding that medical research scientists were viewed as the most trustworthy source of information, while major media figures ranked lower.

The survey additionally gauged opinions on national matters, including the Jeffrey Epstein case, with 83% of respondents supporting the release of all related Department of Justice files.

63% of voters backed a proposed medical aid-in-dying law, while most opposed removing vaccination requirements for children.
