Florida - Georgia Weekend: Road Closures, Security Info and More

Gator and Bulldogs fans will be storming downtown Jacksonville this weekend for the Florida-Georgia game, so here's some important information you should know before going down to TIAA Bank Field!

SECURITY:

- There will be over 650 JSO Officers working downtown stretching from the stadium to the Jacksonville Landing, and surrounding neighborhoods. They have already brought in additional lighting for when the sun goes down so that everyone continues to feel safe and visible.

- If you are going to the game, it is recommended you get there five hours early to get through additional security screenings before being able to enter the stadium. The usual stadium bag policy is still active.

TRAFFIC:

Parking lots are slated to open at 8 a.m. Saturday morning, gates are scheduled to open at 1:30pm, so JSO is recommending you get there early to park! They have provided travel alternatives via JTA with the options of taking the JTA Gameday Xpress, JTA Skyway or a Water Taxi. As of now there are no expected road closures.

SIDELINE SAFETY ZONE:

If the weather stays on track, it won't be a hot and rainy weekend, but you should still stay hydrated! If you find yourself needing water, first aid care or maybe even need to charge your cell phone, use the map below to know where the Sideline Saftey Zone & Guest Services tents are located.
