In July of 2017, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office investigated a shooting death at the Dunsford Terrace Apartments in the San Marco area. The victim, 20-year-old Aunesty Hite was said to have committed suicide. But it turns out that was a lie made up by her then boyfriend 27-year-old Sean Lovins.
According to News4Jax, Lt. Craig Waldrup stated that Lovins was "distraught and said she shot herself." After evidence did not match Lovins statement, it was determined that Lovins was the actual shooter.
He has been arrested and is being charged with murder.
