Jacksonville Humane Society - Blind Date Matchmaking for Valentine’s Day

The Jacksonville Humane Society (JHS) is celebrating Valentine’s Day by offering a blind date matchmaking service to potential adopters!

On Valentine’s Day, all animals at JHS are available to be adopted for only $14 to celebrate the spirit of love. New this year, JHS is offering a blind date matchmaking service to connect adopters with dogs they may not have considered, but whose personalities match their lifestyles. Interested adopters will fill out a short survey and staff will arrange a blind date with an adoptable pet. If they feel a connection, folks can take their match on a date-night sleepover, or adopt right then! JHS hopes this unique service will create special, and perhaps unexpected, connections.

Folks interested in a blind date with an adoptable pet are encouraged to visit the JHS Adoption & Education Center, 8464 Beach Boulevard, Jacksonville, FL, 32216, on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2024, from 12pm – 7pm.

All animals will go home spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccines. Additional fees such as a leash and collar, the city rabies licensing fee, or a cat carrier may apply at the time of adoption.

More information about this event can be found on the JHS website, jaxhumane.org.
