- Good! This whole shoot-first, ask-questions-later attitude has to be rooted out of the police.
- Like she'd ever be trusted to walk a beat again. She had to go.
- What ever happened to innocent until proven guilty? What if she's cleared of wrongdoing? Now she can't have a career?
- Why not just suspend her pending the outcome of the criminal case?

On September 6th, Officer Amber Guyger returned to what she thought was her home after a long shift. She walked in and saw black immigrant Botham Jean, pulled her gun and shot him. She's been charged with manslaughter.
After an internal investigation, Police Chief U. Renee Hall says Guyger engaged in "adverse conduct," and has fired her. She does have the chance to appeal the decision under civil service rules. (Dallas Morning News)
