TeeRoy's 2 Cents:

  • What's Swiss and Timb's protocol on when a fight breaks out over diss tracks? They should have police on set.
  • Diss tracks are known to be fan favorites. "Truth" should definitely get played in the battle.
  • Who are you siding with, Jeez or Gucci?
  • Season two of Verzuz goes hand-in-hand with the second wave of coronavirus. Let's prepare to hunker back down at home.

Gucci reposted a meme on social media alluding to how tensions may rise in the upcoming battle. It makes light of a long-ago shooting between Jeezy's label mate Pookie Loc and La Flame, which resulted in Pookie's death. According to Gucci, Pookie attempted to break into his home to rob him, and he shot in self-defense.

The meme's caption took lyrics from Gucci's single and unofficial diss track to Jeezy, "Truth," which said, "Go dig ya partna up, he can't say [nothing]," along with a picture of someone jumping at another person in a courtroom. The implication is this is how Jeezy may respond if the song gets played.

The two rappers have been throwing jabs at each other on social media to hype up the series, but this might've taken it too far. (TMZ
