A Louisiana man has become the second-dumbest person in America to try the Gorilla Glue Challenge.
Unconvinced byĀ fellow-Louisianan Tessica Brown, who went viral for Gorilla Gluing her hair, Len Martin chose to prove that the adhesive isn't really as sticky as it claims to be by gluing a red Solo cup to his mouth. He chose poorly. Martin insisted that he he'd be able to simply lick it right off, but the plasticĀ cup immediately bonded to his lip and he couldn't get it off. He ultimately went to the emergency room where a doctor had to peel it off some skin on his lip to remove the cup.
Martin said afterward, "I was trying to show people that it wasn't as serious as she [Brown] was making it to be, you know.Ā I thought I could lick it off, kind of, to moisten it and pull it right off, but that didn't work though. It went backwards, you know." Doctors told him to keep his lip covered for three weeks and warned that if it doesn't heal properly, he may need to have a portion of his lip removed. (Newsweek)
