On Monday, President Joe Biden called for "peace and calm" following what he called the "tragic" deadly police shooting of Daunte Wright in Minneapolis.
Responding to Wright's death on Sunday, Biden told reporters at the White House, "I haven't called Daunte Wright's family, but my prayers are with the family. It's really a tragic thing that happened. The question is, was it an accident? Was it intentional? That remains to be determined by a full-blown investigation." He went on to describe the body-cam footage of the incident as "fairly graphic."
The 20-year-old Wright was fatally wounded by police on Sunday after he was pulled over in the Brooklyn Center suburb of Minneapolis. Police said Monday that the officer who killed Wright thought she was firing her taser, not a gun. (NBC News)
