Some kids in New York City tried to get over on the North Carolina rapper by overcharging him for packs of candy.
TeeRoy's 2 Cents:
He could have made his point and still thrown them a few extra bucks.
He put them on to game -- that’s worth more than any candy they could flip.
It's kind of like that game show Press Your Luck. Sure, you can keep pushing it -- but at some point it could all backfire and blow up in your face.
They each made a couple bucks and got to meet DaBaby -- I'd call that a win-win.
He might be DaBaby but he wasn't born yesterday.
The North Carolina rapper was in the Big Apple for the ESPY Awards when he encountered a familiar sight in the city’s five boroughs -- some kids selling individual packs of snacks and candy out of a bulk box.
At first they said it was $2 for Skittles or Gushers, but when he whipped out a wad of big bills, all they could see was green. So when he asked how much the whole box would cost, they told him $200. That’s when DaBaby broke down how at the $2 a bag price point, the most the box should go for would be around $68. In the end, he wound up buying just a pack from each kid in hopes of teaching them a lesson.
