The Chicago rapper rolled up to the pitcher’s mound with a custom Cubs jersey with “Polo Capalot” embroidered on the back. Unlike some celebs who have tossed out the ceremonial first pitch, Polo had a completely respectable showing — throwing the ball over the plate and through the strike zone right into the Cubs’ mascot Clark’s mitt. The team’s social media account boasted, “Put this pitch in the hall of fame.”
It was a family affair, with Polo’s little one, Tremani “Baby Cap” Bartlett joining his dad on the field and in his skybox afterwards. In the end, the Cubs still wound up taking an L, but at least Polo can be proud he didn’t let the team or the fans down.
