Politics is a dirty game. Sometimes you have to do whatever it takes to get your way or stop your opponent.
It's interesting how Democrats want to make voting as easy as possible, while Republicans are trying to make it more difficult.
Much of the push for more restrictive voting laws is fueled by the false narrative that the election was stolen.
Either that or Republicans know they lost and trying to figure out a way that they can win.
At least 51 Democratic members of the Texas House of Representatives have fled the state in an effort to fight restrictive Republican-sponsored voting bills.
The Democrats took off on two charter jets to Washington, D.C. on Monday afternoon as part of a plan to block the measures from moving forward, according to a source familiar with the plot. At least seven others are also heading to D.C.
The Democratic lawmakers hope to run out the clock on the special session by spending more than three weeks in Washington.
Texas Representative Trey Martinez Fischer told NBC News, "Our democracy is on the line. It became very clear to us that this weekend that any attempts to negotiate some Democratic concessions were cut off, making it very clear that Republicans were hellbent on having their way." (NBC News)
