TeeRoy's 2 Cents:
Sometimes all the changing guidance on COVID prevention can be confusing.
It's best to err on the side of caution.
Just when you thought we were getting back to normal, it's time to mask up again – at least in some places.
With COVID cases once again on the rise, due to the highly contagious delta variant, Surgeon General Vivek Murthy said Sunday that he's in favor of individual counties bringing back mask mandates -- for vaccinated and non-vaxxed individuals -- to hold off local surges of COVID-19 among those who still haven't been vaccinated.
In an interview on ABC News's This Week, Murthy said, "It's very reasonable for counties to take more mitigation measures like the mask rules you see coming out in L.A., and I anticipate that will happen in other parts of the country too."
He added that these kind of local orders are in line with federal guidelines that allow local authorities to put prevention measures in place. (The Washington Post)
