Good move.
It's time to put an end to all the anti-vaxx, anti-mask nonsense so we can beat COVID once and for all.
Certainly, those who would risk their lives for their country are not afraid of a vaccine.
As part of the growing effort to halt the latest surge in COVID-19 cases due to the Delta variant, the Biden administration announced Monday that the Pentagon is making vaccinations mandatory for active-duty troops "no later" than mid-September.
Initially, the plan was to require the shots by the end of August, but it was put on pause over concerns of putting the mandate in place before the FDA grants for approval of the vaccine.
Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin said in a memo, “I want you to know that I will seek the president’s approval to make the vaccines mandatory no later than mid-September, or immediately upon” FDA approval, adding “whichever comes first.” (The New York Times)
