100% protection from hospitalization and death sounds pretty good to me.
This news should encourage more people to get the shot.
It's easy. More shots, more protection.
Johnson & Johnson announced that a booster shot of its COVID vaccine provides 94% protection against symptomatic infection, making it as effective as the two-dose Pfizer or Moderna vaccines.
The company says a new study confirmed that its single-dose vaccine is effective, but when adding a booster, "the strength of protection against COVID-19 further increases." The study found that when a second shot is given 56 days after the first, it provided 100% protection against severe infection, and 94% protection against moderate to severe infection.
Since receiving emergency use authorization by the FDA in February, more than 14 million Americans have gotten the J-&-J vaccine. (CNBC)
