Celebrity status and money means nothing to ICE.
Authorities are looking to make examples of public figures.
21 Savage doesn't bother anyone -- leave him alone.
The U.K.-born rapper turned himself in to authorities yesterday (Thursday) on allegations of felony drug and weapons possession stemming from multiple federal cases, including one with ICE. Authorities claim that the night he was arrested by ICE, he'd tossed a liquid bottle which tested positive for codeine. They also say they found a firearm in the vehicle he was in at the time of his arrest.
Charles Kuck, 21's attorney, says, "Last night’s manufactured charges are yet another example of how our justice system, from ICE down to the local level, unjustly targets young Black men who seek to exercise their rights... There is no legitimate basis for these charges nor for ICE’s continued antics, and we will fight until [21] is justly vindicated."
Even though the federal cases were dropped, Savage risks deportation if his active immigration case gets his visa revoked. (XXL)
