You know those people who put up their Christmas decorations before Thanksgiving? Well, they are actually perceived as friendlier than others. In a study published in the Journal of Environmental Psychology people were asked to rate the friendliness of strangers by looking at photos of their homes. Homes with lights, wreaths, and even inflatables, were given a friendlier rating than those without.
