The Court just turned away an appeal filed by prosecutors in Pennsylvania to overturn a decision by that state's Supreme Court. Last year, that court ruled that his conviction was based on evidence that violated his due process rights, and threw it out.
In 2005, the then-DA of Montgomery County concluded he did not have enough evidence to pursue a rape case against Cosby, and offered him immunity in exchange for the comic's testimony in a civil lawsuit. His successor then re-filed the case and used that testimony to put Cosby behind bars. (The Hill)
