Two years after the World Health Organization declared COVID-19 a global pandemic, a new milestone has been reached.
According to Johns Hopkins' online COVID tracker, the global death toll has surpassed six million. It's a grim reminder that, although the number of cases have been on the decline over the past few weeks, the death toll continues to rise and is quickly approaching the one-million mark in the U.S. The number of positive cases around the world has reached 446 million.
