Sounds like Russia is returning to the Soviet era with the long lines and no access to Western goods.

No peace, no Big Macs.

Wait until they can't get bluejeans anymore.

Russians won't be able to super size their lunches any time soon. McDonald's has closed all its restaurants in the country over the invasion of Ukraine.

CEO Chris Kempczinski says, "Our values mean we cannot ignore the needless human suffering unfolding in Ukraine."

McDonald's, which has been serving Big Macs in Russia since 1990, will shut down nearly 850 restaurants, which employ 62,000 of its citizens.

Starbucks, which has 130 locations in Russia and Ukraine, will also close in Russia, and Coca-Cola and Pepsi have stopped all sales in the country.

According to TMZ, thousands of Russians have been lining up to get their last taste of Mickey D' and some have reportedly started selling the fast food online.

This comes as the U.S. has brought down severe economic sanctions on Russia.
