It's not just gas. It's everything. Inflation is out of control.
Unfortunately the only way to avoid paying the high gas prices is to stay home and not go anywhere this summer.
As pricey as gas is, it's still not as high as it was in 2008.
Gas prices have climbed so high that in some parts of California, the cost of a gallon of gas is higher than the the federal minimum wage of $7.25 per hour. The average American driver can expect to spend around $4,800 a year on gas, up from $2,800 a year ago. Experts are optimistic that the country may start to see some relief at the pump at the end of the year. Some states like New York, Connecticut, Georgia and Maryland are trying to ease the pain by temporarily lifting the gas tax beginning today. (CBS News)
