getting consistent quality sleep had a direct impact on women’s moods – and even changed how they felt about advancing in their professional career.
You may just need some sleep. A new study from Washington State University found that getting consistent quality sleep had a direct impact on women’s moods – and even changed how they felt about advancing in their professional career. So, when women get enough sleep they are happier, more energetic, and more motivated? Who could have guessed?
Speaking of career motivation …
Well, this is unsurprising … Workers who are required to return to the office are feeling resentment toward their co-workers who are allowed to continue to work remotely. Even though the workers may be doing completely different jobs, the ones back in the office are not happy that they are not being given the same option. This, of course, affects morale and attitudes toward the company.
"If you're offering two different types of employees different access to work, you potentially create an issue of equity," said Thomas Roulet, an associate professor of organizational theory at the University of Cambridge. This could ultimately affect productivity and the company’s bottom line. "If they feel like they are putting in a lot more than the next person, without a reward, they are going to disengage, and they're going to be demotivated," he said.
