Friday afternoon, a Los Angeles jury found Tory Lanez guilty in the of shooting Megan Thee Stallion. Her attorney stated (quote) "The jury got it right. I am thankful there is justice for Meg."
The Canadian rapper could be sentenced to 22-years behind bars and deported after serving his time.
Prosecutors brought three charges against Tory Lanez: assault with a semiautomatic firearm, negligent discharge of a firearm and carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle. The jury determined he's guilty on all three counts.
Megan Thee Stallion took the witness stand in the two-week-long trial to describe the night Tory Lanez shot her in both feet. She allegedly triggered his violent rage by insulting his rapping skills. (Variety)
