- The Bills locked up the number-two seed and will next host the number-seven seed Miami Dolphins in the wild-card round of the playoffs.
- It's great to see Hamlin's progress and recovery.
Less than a week after Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin collapsed on the field and had to be revived, his team was back at home for their final game of the season on Sunday. They did not disappoint their fans, nor Hamlin, who was watching from the ICU at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center where he's recovering after going into cardiac arrest.
The Bills beat the New England Patriots 35-23 and were fired up from the start. Prior to kickoff, some of the Bills staff who helped revive Hamlin were honored. Then the Bills took over.
Nyheim Hines returned the opening kickoff for a 96-yard touchdown. If that wasn't enough, he did it again in the third quarter, going 101 yards the second time around.
Quarterback Josh Allen also delivered, throwing for three touchdowns, 254 yards and completing 19 of 31 passes. Stefon Diggs was frequently his target. He had seven receptions for 104 yards and a touchdown.
During the game, the Bills players flashed heart signs at the camera to Hamlin, who live tweeted his responses. (Rochester Democrat and Chronicle)
