- Some of the stars in attendance included Kevin Durant, Ice Spice and Ziwe.
- A legendary artist performing at a legendary venue.
- The hip-hop cops were out in full force on Saturday night, with officers even posted up and filming concertgoers as they exited the venue.
- This isn't your average Drake show.
- Hopefully this was recorded, because it's a real shame to think that only 1,500 per night got to experience this magical moment.
Drake took over New York City over the weekend, with a pair of performances at the legendary Apollo Theater.
The intimate performances were highly anticipated, after being pushed back twice. And even though Aubrey injured his ankle earlier this week, the show still went on. Drizzy made the occasion memorable, with custom sets (inspired by his childhood bedroom, local bodegas, and the OVO boardroom), special guests, and a set list that focused on deeper cuts from his catalog.
Drake brought out The Diplomats to run through a trio of Dipset greatest hits, before bringing out his recent collaborator 21 Savage to play some tracks off Her Loss.
Sunday night's on-stage collab with 21 Savage was briefly delayed. A concert-goer tumbled from the Apollo balcony. Drake paused the show and the house lights came on to check on the injured. Minute a few minutes, word went out that "everybody is absolutely OK" and the show resumed. (Insider)
