A study found that middle aged women with good, supportive relationships are happier … and healthier. The study, by the University of Queensland, found that women with satisfying relationships have a lower risk of developing poor health and diseases like diabetes, high blood pressure, and heart disease when they are older. And the researchers found that these relationships didn’t need to be romantic ones. Good relationships with spouses -- as well as with family, friends, and even co-workers were beneficial to well-being.
