AMC Theatres Reopens Its Doors By Celebrating 100 Years Of Operations With "Movies In 2020 At 1920 Prices"

The Top 5 movies this weekend:

1. Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania - $32.2 million

2. Cocaine Bear - $23.1 million

3. Jesus Revolution - $15.5 million

4. Avatar: The Way of Water - $4.7 million

5. Puss in Boots: The Last Wish - $4.1 million

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania was down 69% from last weekend, the biggest week-to-week drop in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but it still managed to remain at number-one at the box office. The sequel earned $32.2 million, taking its domestic total to $167.3 million.

Opening in number-two was Cocaine Bear, which performed much better than expected with $23 million over the weekend.

The faith-based drama Jesus Revolution debuted in third with $15.5 million.

Avatar: The Way of Water was fourth with $4.7 million. It’s now the ninth-highest grossing movie domestically with $665.4 million. Globally the sci-fic epic has made $2.267 billion.

And Puss in Boots: The Last Wish rounded out the Top 5 with $4.1 million.
