Gen Z is going old school … with crossword puzzles. A new survey found that 50% of Gen Zers regularly do crossword puzzles – but not on apps or online. They’re doing them with paper and ink. In comparison, only 38% of Baby Boomers, 31% of Gen X, and 15% of Millennials do crossword puzzles on a regular basis. The biggest reasons people do crossword puzzles are for the challenge (69%) and to exercise the brain (65%). 20% say doing the daily crossword puzzle makes them feel smart and 7% say it’s a family tradition.
