- Women’s History starts with Eve in the Garden of Eden giving forbidden fruit to Adam.
- Madonna would like a rebuttal after Garcia called Beyoncé the “Queen of Pop.”

Representative Robert Garcia kicked it off with a speech on the House floor about Beyoncé. She made history last month by winning her 32nd Grammy, which is more than any other artist.
The first-term congressman started his speech by noting that Black History Month ends just as Women’s History Month begins.
He said, (quote) “Mr. Speaker, I rise today to honor an individual who represents both so well. She’s an icon, she’s a legend, and she is now and forever the moment. I wanna celebrate none other than who I believe is the undisputed queen of pop and R&B: Beyoncé Knowles Carter.” (Billboard)
