- It's such a damn shame to think someone lost their life while just trying to enjoy themselves on a night out.
- What can we add to what Glo has already said. Our thoughts and prayers are with all impacted by this.
- The two victims who passed, and the one still fighting for their life are all women in their 30s.
- Rest in power to the deceased.
A second woman has died after the fatal stampede at a GloRilla concert Sunday night in upstate New York that killed two, and injured eight others.
GloRilla was performing in Rochester on a bill that included fellow Memphis rapper Finesse2Tymes when chaos broke out. After reports of gunshots around 11 p.m., folks in the crowd of thousands started to panic.
Police are skeptical whether shots were actually fired, noting, “There is no evidence to support a shooting having occurred inside the event… The injuries appear to be a result of a large crowd pushing towards the exits following accounts of individuals hearing what they believed to be gunshots.”
One of the two victims, a 33-year-old Rhondesia Belton, was pronounced dead on the scene. A 35-year-old woman passed at the hospital from injuries sustained. Another victim remains hospitalized in critical, life-threatening condition. (CBS News)
Late Monday night, Glo tweeted, "I am devastated & heartbroken over the tragic deaths that happened after Sunday’s show. My fans mean the world to me. Praying for their families & for a speedy recovery of everyone affected." Rochester Mayor Malik Evans called the fatal stampede “a tragedy of epic proportions," vowing, "We are going to hold people accountable for what happened last night, period."
