Las Vegas police searched a home on Monday night in conjuction with the investigation into Tupac Shakur's murder 27 years ago.
Las Vegas police only offered a brief statement about the search, saying, "LVMPD can confirm a search warrant was served in Henderson, Nevada on July 17th, 2023, as part of the ongoing Tupac Shakur homicide investigation. We will have no further comment at this time."
It's not clear how the investigation -- which by most accounts had been dormant for a while -- led to this search. Tupac was shot on on September 7th 1996, in Las Vegas and died in the hospital six days later. He had been in Vegas to attend a boxing match with Suge Knight. He was sitting in a black sedan on Las Vegas Boulevard when a white Cadillac pulled up alongside the vehicle and opened fire.
