MASS SHOOTING: More Than Days in the Year

• For comparison, there were 645 nass shootings in 2022 and 690 in 2021 and there were 610 in 2020. 
• With the primary elections around the corner, gun control is bound to be a hot topic of conversation among candidates. 
• Something has to be done about the gun violence problem in America.

Five mass shootings took place in the first four days of September. 

Two people died and three were injured at a shooting in Birmingham, Alabama. When the victims arrived at the hospital, three of them were shot again in the parking lot, which damaged an emergency room door and a police car. 

Four homicides took place in Atlanta, Georgia in less than 12 hours and other shootings took place in High Point, North Carolina, Galveston, Texas and Freeport, Illinois. 

According to the Gun Violence Archive, there have been 484 mass shootings so far this year. Mass shootings are technically defined as any incident where four or more people are shot or killed. (ABC News)
